Overview
The FedRAMP Integrated Inventory Workbook is one of the many documents that can be generated by Document Robot in Paramify. Details to populate the Integrated Inventory Workbook span Component and Inventory details. Inventory does not exist outside of a component so the component must be created before the inventory can be captured in Paramify.
Inventory Input Methods
Component and Inventory details are input from the Elements page. Currently data input can be accomplished via 1) CSV import templates or 2) the Paramify user interface directly.
Inventory.csv Import Process
When using the Paramify import features, the recommended process is as follows on the Elements page:
- If element details need to be added for the first time or updated in bulk:
- Navigate to the menu and select "Download Elements" to obtain the element.csv template
- Populate the elements.csv file with the relevant component details
- Save the updated elements.csv file
- Navigate to the menu and select "Import Elements"
- Choose the updated elements.csv file and click "Submit"
- Navigate to the menu and select "Download Inventory" to obtain the inventory.csv template
- Populate the inventory.csv file with the relevant inventory details
- Save the updated inventory.csv file
- Navigate to the menu and select "Import Inventory"
- Choose the updated inventory.csv file and click "Submit"
After successfully importing the desired details, it is important to validate the accuracy of the data by looking over the details in each impacted component and marking the component "Reviewed" or adding a revision in Document Robot to review the resulting deliverable.
Paramify User Interface Inventory Input Process
Within Paramify, component subtypes anticipated to include inventory will include a "Details" and an "Inventory" tab as part of the individual component page. The details required for the Integrated Inventory Workbook are split across both tabs. Keep the following in mind:
- Elements can be created via import (see above for detailed steps) or by clicking on the "+Element" button on the elements page. For more information on Element Structure, see Managing Elements (People, Places, and Things)
- For the Integrated Inventory Workbook to be complete, populate the "Detail" and "Inventory" tab for each component that needs to be included in the workbook.
- On the "Details" tab, the information can be input directly.
- On the "Inventory" tab, click "Add Item" to open a modal in which you enter the additional inventory details.
- If the Integrated Inventory Workbook generated by Document Robot after data input is complete is missing any information, remember to validate the inputs in both the "Details" and "Inventory" tabs of the applicable component.
Inventory Maintenance
Once the component and inventory details are added to Paramify, simple maintenance or one-off inventory additions can be most efficiently accomplished directly in Paramify as described above in the Paramify User Interface Inventory Input Process while bulk updates can be easy using the import process described in the Inventory.csv Import Process.
With Paramify, the days of maintaining an Integrated Inventory Workbook in a spreadsheet can be over.
